As you will probably be aware, the number of Coronavirus cases in the UK and the rest of Europe is increasing. We recognise that the situation may be unsettling and that you may have some concerns about your hire.
Retrocampervan is carefully monitoring the ongoing Coronavirus situation regularly. It will continue to follow recommendations made by the Government. At this stage, travel restrictions within the UK have not been imposed and we therefore expect that your hire will go ahead without any interruptions. In response to events, the company has implemented a comprehensive Coronavirus Protocol and we continue to closely monitor the situation and adapt our practices if and when necessary.
Currently all of our campervan hires are operating as normal and you can continue to enjoy your trip as planned. Normal terms and conditions apply for any amendments or cancellations.
Here’s what we are doing.
We’ve enhanced our already robust cleaning techniques of our campervans after each rental. In particular, we are paying special attention to the places people touch such as steering wheels, door handles and other hard surfaces. It is also worth mentioning that many of our campervans will have been rested during the winter months, unused, whilst our modern T6 campervans were purchased new at the beginning of the year.
We are also cleaning our facilities frequently with recommended sanitizing products and being vigilant about frequent hand washing.
The Camping and Caravanning Club, with whom you have Privileged Membership as part of your hire, have also provided helpful advice on their website and state “For now we are taking a ‘business as normal’ approach and we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors across our UK site network and giving you a Friendly Club welcome.” https://www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk/helpandadvice/travelplanning/coronavirus/
As usual, in advance of any journey, we continue to recommend you take out comprehensive travel insurance and we strongly encourage all travellers to follow latest guidance from the UK and any relevant national health authorities.
