Mileage limits

If you’re hiring one of our classic campers for a weekend break or short mid week break please be aware that we have a limit of 300 miles, which will allow for travel in the many beautiful areas of Dorset, Hampshire, Sussex, and Kent. Longer breaks of a week or more are exempt, but please bear in mind these campers are pushing nearly 50 years old and prefer to bumble along quiet country roads local to us. Whilst Cornwall and Wales are beautiful places to visit they can often burn hours of travel time robbing you of precious holiday time.

Seatbelts

All our campers have modern retractable seatbelts which are suitable for child and booster seats, although layouts do vary from camper to camper.

Please call us 07788 100696 if you need advice on which camper is best for taking children or babies as we are happy to advise on setup.

Do the campers have stereos?

Yes, all campers have Radio/CD players with USB/iPod connectivity.

What are they like to drive?

When you come to collect we will ensure there is a proper handover and will walk you through everything you need to know. The campers are all maintained to the highest standards, but are from a different era to the modern car, so will not have luxuries such as cruise control or high speed engines. Part of their charm is they force you to take things at a more relaxed pace, so you’ll enjoy the 55mph cruising speed and not worry too much about covering vast distances in a day. Much better to kick back and enjoy the ride on A-roads getting to a destination that’s not too far away or breaking up your journey so you and your camper feel refreshed and can enjoy the adventure.
Everyone that has hired our campers has enjoyed the experience and you’ll feel at home within 10mins of driving. Remember our campers are all UK RHD models so there is no having to get used to controls on the wrong side.

How many people can sleep in a camper?

The campers will sleep 4 people comfortably (2 adults and 2 children).

For older children you may find Peaches and Apricot more suitable as they have larger double beds in the roof space.

With the option of an awning you will also have additional space in the form of an integrated inner sleeping compartment which will sleep an additional 2 adults.

What happens if I breakdown?

Our campervans are all fully covered by roadside and recovery so you will not ever be left stranded!
In the unlikely event that your van needs to be brought back to us, we endeavour to provide a replacement campervan, but if this is not possible we will refund you a percentage of your money back based on your lost holiday days.
We always aim to get you back on the road as soon as is humanly possible and have so far never needed to interrupt a break.

Driver Restrictions

We are able to insure any person with a full license between the ages of 25 and 75 with more than two years driving experience. Our insurance excludes drivers with more than 6 penalty points or those that have any of the following conviction codes; AC, BA, CD, CU, DD, DR, IN, TT or UT.(without prior approval)

What’s included in the price?

We include full insurance for one named driver, breakdown & relay cover, bottle of gas, awnings, tables, chairs & all cutlery and cooking utensils. Please note awnings are subject to availability.

Are you able to collect us from the train station?

Yes, we are happy to collect you from Guildford or Farnham station, which has quick links to London Waterloo with a journey time of just 40 mins.

Can we leave our car with you whilst we hire the camper?

Yes, there is free parking on site although vehicles are left at your own risk.

Where are you located?

We are based in Guildford, Surrey and our rental office for collections and drop offs is 15 mile south of Guildford at GU35 9LU

What documents do I need to bring when I collect the camper?

We need to see your driving licence  as well as an additional form of ID with your current address. This could be a utility bill or bank statement less than 3 months old showing your registered current home address.

What time is pick up and drop off?

All campers are available for collection from 2pm with a return by 11am. Pickup and collection days are dependent on your hire:

Weekend Hire – collect Friday 2pm return Monday 11am
Midweek Hire – collect Monday 2pm return Friday 11am
Weekly Hire – collect Friday 2pm return Monday 11am or Monday 2pm return Monday 11am

During busy periods we need to ensure we have enough time to get the campers cleaned out and checked over so that the next people to use them enjoy the same high standards that you experienced. If your camper is not going out again the same day, we can be more flexible on drop off times, but please contact us first.
