Four Great Reasons to Hire a VW from RetroCampervan
As true lovers of VWs and with years spent camper-vanning in many different places, in all sorts of weathers, we have ‘lived’ the campervan life and genuinely think nothing beats it if you are after a truly memorable experience. We believe that anyone can get this fabulous experience in one of our campers and want to make sure you leave with great memories and big smiles when you hire from us.
We’re passionate and enthusiastic, but also believe in running a well organised and professional service.
All Inclusive Hire
Our all inclusive hire means you won’t see any hidden charges despite the extras we offer as standard on all hires. This includes bike racks, full sized awnings, portable BBQs, child seats, sun canopies, wind breaks, picnic baskets, filter coffee and more. We could go on, but let’s just say everything is provided in the cost of your hire and we want you to just jump in and enjoy the adventure, not spend time and money on all the detail. Really, the only things we don’t supply are your toiletries and food – simples!
We’ll always do our best to ensure you get the most from your hire experience and we’re on hand to help or advise with planning your adventure. Our service can extend to providing advice on where to go including routes, recommended places to visit, what to take along, or any other questions you might have. A term that’s often overused these days, is 100% customer satisfaction but that really is what we aim for with every hire. It’s important for us to feel you are getting the fun out of renting one of our campers and want you to come back and repeat the experience.
100% Genuine UK Campervans
We only rent Genuine UK Right Hand Drive vehicles, not difficult-to-acquaint-yourself-with-imports. When looking to hire it’s important to know that a right hand drive camper will have the sliding door open out onto the pavement as they were designed for UK roads. Hire an imported or left hand drive camper and you’ll find the main sliding door opens out on the opposite side i.e. onto the road. It’s just something to bear in mind when getting yourself or your children out of the camper as stepping out onto the pavement is always safer than a busy road. Of course driving a classic camper can take a little getting used to, but with the steering wheel on the correct side you’ll feel at ease within the first few minutes and can kick back and enjoy the ride.
Location, Location, Location
From our base in Surrey we have some of the best areas of Southern England all within an easy drive, including beautiful villages in Hampshire, the spectacular New Forest, hidden gems in Devon, sunny Cornwall, the garden of England that is Kent and many more locations.
You can pack a lot into a weekend away and it’s nice to know you can be in a tranquil setting within a few mins of leaving us. Take a look at some of the suggested routes and holiday ideas. They’ve all been researched and enjoyed by us during our travels in a camper.
